The Cutest Socks EVER!

CALLING ALL FUZZY SOCK LOVERS!
HAVE YOU SEEN THESE???
They are the most adorable fuzzy socks in the world!
And since I am a HUGE fan of fuzzy sockies, I am in love with them!
They are fuzzy, cozy, and cute all at the same time!!!
For some reason, my ankles look swollen here! But I love the red, white, and red
and of course, the cute penguin! I got these in my stocking, and it was love at first sight!!!

So I just HAD to have more of these cuties, so Mom picked these for me! The ladybugs are adorable!!

Psalm 139

Today is December 27, a wonderful day!
Today is a day where you don't have anything super special to do, so you can just enjoy yourself, and keep your p.j.'s on until 11 o'clock!
Today is a beautiful, crisp, sunny day, perfect for playing golf...except... the golf course is closed!!! :(
But today is also a great day to ride your bike around the neighborhood and dream up magical happenings, so I think I shall do that instead! :)
Today is a great day to be YOU!
I love Psalm 139:7-17, which says,

Where can I go from our Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, You are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, You are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
 if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be dark to You;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to You.
For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hiden from you
when I was made in the secrert place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake, I am still with you.

So you are fearfully and wonderfully made! God created you, and He is always with you! God will never leave you! He is always right beside you, guiding and helping you with everything you do in your life!
So never be afraid to do something you want to do and that you  feel is God's will! God will always be there with you, and with His love and guidance, you will suceed! Start trusting, believing, and loving God today in every  part of your life! He cares about the little things, as well as the big things! :)

Christmas Delight

I'ts Christmas break!
And I am SO loving it! :)
First of all, I have the AWESOMEST neighbor ever! I have been spending a ton of time with Mrs. Upshaw. She is teaching me to knit, and I am in the middle of a beautiful plum colored scarf right now! Mrs. Uppy, as I like to call her, is also knitting me an awesome matching beanie! Plus, on Thursday, I spent almost 4 hours at her house baking delicious treats! Yes, Mrs. Upshaw is amazing! :)
Next, my mom and I are enjoying this wonderful day doing Christmas baking together! Already, we have made Ghiradelli chocolate chip cookies(which are in the oven right now!), and amazing Fantasy Fudge! We are quite the cooking team! :) Between making our delectable masterpieces, we are enjoying walks around the neighborhood in the beautiful warm, sunny weather!
Tomorrow, Ross, Mom, and I are going to Wichita to do some shopping and then watch... The Voyage of the Dawn Treader!!! Yes, isn't Christmas break getting better and better?? :)
And finally, of course, Christmas is only 6 days away! I am EXTREMELY excited!!!
 But, in all the excitement of this Christmas season, don't forget the true reason for the season-Jesus's birthday! This Christmas, remember James 1:17. "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." All the fun and delight of Christmas is from our glorious Father and His Son, Jesus, who Christmas is truly all about. :)

Take a moment and think of 5 things you are thankful for... How does this make you feel? Well for me, it makes me feel abundantly blessed by our Lord, and it also fills my spirit with love and joy! In Joyce Meyer's  book, "Power Thoughts" (which, by the way, I greatly reccomend), she says, "One of the main thought patterns that causes discontentment is focusing on what we don't have and what people are not doing for us... when we get ourselves and our needs and desires off of our minds, life always looks brighter." Like she says, whenever I think about how much I am blessed and how I can bless others, my mind is happier than it is when I am down and concentrating on what I don't have!
 2 Peter 1:2-3 says, "Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness."
 So God has and will provide all we need for His children! He wants to bless us, and He wants our spirits to be filled with joy, so don't concentrate on what you don't have! Instead, be thankful for what you do have, and thank God for all His blessings! :) Trust in Him for your needs, because worrying about them won't produce anything fruitful. Luke 12:25 says, "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" When God sees your blossoming trust and faith in Him, He will bless you abundantly! He loves to see His children put there trust and faith in Him for everything!
 So today, don't let your spirit slip to worrying and thinking about what you don't have, but keep your mind on what you are thankful for and how God has blessed you! :)

What "Peanuts" character are you?

I don't know about you, but I love the "Peanuts" comics! Linus with his blanket, crabby Lucy, Snoopy with all his tricks and fun, and of course, good 'ol Charlie Brown.
 But if I had to pick a character from "Peanuts" that I would be most like, I would probably pick Snoopy.
  He loves fun and games, being the Red Baron, playing with Woodstock, and winning the house decorating contest at Christmas! But he also likes some down time, lying on top of his dog house.

What Peanuts character are you most like? :)

Horse Show!

Well, last Sunday was my first English horse show! I FINALLY got all my awesome show clothes(I love the jodphurs, shirt, boots, etc!), so I was all set! :) I banded Cinco's mane so it would all stay down (he rubs part of it out in the summer sticking his head through the bars to eat grass! :P), and I braided his tail! When I went in to the arena for my first class, English pleasure, Cinco got a little jittery! He was remembering his exciting, fast entrances into the alley at rodeos, I think! But we did pretty well! I've been working on getting him to put his head down when I ride, and he did okay on that. He was a little excited, so it was somewhat up, but okay for his first show. And... I got 2nd place! I loved the pretty red ribbon! :)
 Next was Equitation. I went through the pattern well, but Cinco's head was pretty far up, so I got 2nd place (out of 2 :P). But again, still good for the 1st show! :)

 And finally... the trail course!!! There were a lot of good riders in the class, but I was feeling pretty good as I entered the arena. But as I approached the first obstacle-a gate- I felt Cinco get nervous. He DID NOT like the gate! After a few tries though, I got it open. Then came the bridge, which, what do you know, Cinco didn't like either! I only got him to go over like half of it! :P Then... the dreaded "L" poles. They had poles set up in an L shape, and you had to walk through them, and then back through them! I was nervous about them, but we actually did better than I expected! The rest of the course went better-standing in a box for 5 seconds, walking over some poles, trotting around some barrels, but because of the trouble at the start, I didn't place. :( But it was still fun! So all in all the horse show was a lot of fun and great experience! I can't wait until the next one! :)

Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Sitting under the glowing, magical lights of our tree, sipping hot chocolate while walking through the crisp, cool neighborhood gazing at lights that seem to hypnotize me! Reading Christmas books and listening to carols: Yes, its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
  Christmas is my favorite time of year! But away from all the worldly signs of Christmas, I also remember a tiny baby lying in a manger of hay wrapped in cloths. I can imagine the dank stable smells and the barn animals gazing at the holy babe that would save the whole world! I can see sleepy shepherds eyes and senses becoming alive with wonder because of heavenly angels lighting up the sky with God's glory! And a huge new star too bright too pass by guiding wise men to bless God's son with beautiful gifts! Isn't Christmas amazing!

  Enjoy all the parts of this Christmas season, but give Jesus's birth a special place of remembrance in your heart this Christmas! :)

Giving Thanks

Well, its almost thanksgiving! I hope you are cooking up some yummy things! This morning, Mom and I baked our famous chocolate sheath cake(yum!), and this afternoon we are making our delicious bread! But this Thanksgiving, I have really been concentrating on giving thanks to God for the wonderful things He has blessed us with. Take a minute and think about all God has given you(from the most wonderful blessing, Jesus dying on the cross to save you from sin, to tiny things like being able to have clean water or to move)Look at Psalm 100.
"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness;come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations."

This makes me feel so many things: safe, joyful, thankful, full of love for my God! Think on Psalm 100 this Thanksgiving, and remember to praise and thank God for His blessings! :)
